For centuries – and in some ways, even today – women’s bodies remained a mystery. They were described as "small men," but luckily, we are learning more and more about how untrue that really is. After all, understanding how your body works is essential!
At Rijksmuseum Boerhaave, you can piece together a body yourself during this holiday workshop. Will you create a beautifully realistic body with all the organs and bones in the right place? Or will you let your imagination run wild… What’s inside a space-body or a sea-body? Where do you place the half-eaten sandwich or the peanut brain? We can't wait to see your creations!
Practical information
For whom: Fun for children aged 4 and up, accompanied by parents or guardians.
When: The holiday workshops take place during the May holiday from Sunday, April 27 to Sunday, May 4. Workshops run continuously from 10:30 AM to 4:30 PM. The last tickets of the day are for the 3:30–4:30 PM time slot.
Cost: The workshop is free with a valid entrance ticket (such as a museum ticket or free admission with a Museumkaart).
Tickets: Pick up a ticket at the front desk, which grants you one hour to complete both workshops. Tickets are only available on the day of your visit; advance reservations are not possible. One ticket is valid for up to two parents/guardians and four children.
After-school care groups (BSO): Are welcome to join the Put Your Body Together workshop by reservation. Groups may visit with one supervisor per six children. To book, please email: reserveringen@rijksmuseumboerhaave.nl.
