Microbes are so tiny that you can’t see them with the naked eye, yet they’re everywhere! In this workshop, you’ll create your own microbe to take home.
Microbes play an essential role in your health; they can be troublemakers, but they’re also lifesavers.
Imagine your own mighty microbe, unleash your artistic talents, and design it yourself. What does it eat, and where can it be found? We can’t wait to see your creations!
Practical information
Who: Fun for children aged 4 and up with parents/guardians.
When: The holiday workshops take place from February 15 to March 2, 2025. The workshops run continuously from 10:30 AM to 4:30 PM. The last tickets of the day are for the 3:30 PM–4:30 PM time slot.
Cost: The workshop is free with a valid admission ticket (such as a museum ticket or entirely free with a Museum Card. Check our ticket page for more information).
Tickets: Pick up a ticket at the counter, which gives you one hour to participate in both workshops. Tickets are only available on the day of your visit; advance reservations are not possible. Each ticket is valid for up to three children with two parents/guardians.
After-school care groups: After making a reservation, you’re welcome to join the “Microbe Coloring Sheet” workshop. Groups may visit with one supervisor per five children. Make your reservation by sending an e-mail to reserveringen@rijksmuseumboerhaave.nl
